WASHINGTON—When Marine Sergeant Scott Moore publicly asked actress Mila Kunis to be his date to the Marine Corps Ball, few could have seen the political fallout that would follow. Then Sergeant Ray Lewis asked out actress Betty White on Youtube, and for some (John McCain), that was one step too far.

“Stop dating the enemy,” said McCain on a July 25th press conference. “Do you have any idea where Kunis is from? She is from the Ukraine, the Ukraine of the 80s. That’s right, we’re talking about the Soviet Union!”

McCain added, “If that wasn’t bad enough this Sergeant Lewis asks Betty White out on a date. If you haven’t noticed, Betty White is old as dirt. What do old people want? They want social security, the most socialist and economy killing institution in our country. I didn’t spend my entire military career fighting communists only to have our own marines collaborate with the enemy.”

While McCain has not garnered much political opposition from his peers, the news media has taken the story and ran with it. Much of the criticism comes from McCain’s age. McCain was born in the 1800s, and is over 160 years old, leaving him in no position to condemn anyone for being too old.

Mila Kunis had her own response to McCain’s statement. She said, “Just because I was born in the Ukrainian SSR doesn’t mean that I’m a Soviet. Like just because John McCain was born during the birth of agriculture, that doesn’t make him a farmer.”

Barney Frank asked to Marine Corps Ball

In light of the impending demise of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy and recent groundbreaking invitations to the Marine Corps Ball, many have wondered whether or not a serviceman would be so bold as to ask one of the same sex to the Marine Corps Ball on November Tenth.

This past Saturday, Corporal Elliot Dixon of Las Vegas, Nevada took the historical step in asking none other than Congressman Barney Frank to the Marine Corps Ball. The transcript of the video is as follows:

“Yo Barn, it’s Ellie. I saw noticed you check’n out my ass while I was walking up around the Lincoln memorial. With malice toward none, with charity for all, and with a serious crush on you and your cute little voice, I ask you to the Marine Corps Ball. Don’t be coy, Barney. You know you want a piece of this…grr.”

When Frank was appraised of the video on a Sunday talk show, he was speechless. Congressman Thaddeus McCotter quipped “It would be the first time you’ve really done anything for your country.”

Frank has yet to accept or decline the invitation, though he did hasten to remark that he has a thing for men in uniform.
